Hi everyone! Sorry it's been so long since I've updated. I'm a busy dog as you all know!

We'll be celebrating my 7/12th birthday on Wednesday... bones and toys are welcome. :)

This one seems odd, I know. Here's the deal... one option of dressing up was to act out a CCI training command. She is dressed up as the command "DRESS"... get it?!

AWWWWH! I KNOW! He's precious. He won the costume contest for the best dressed as a CCI command; dressed as "No/Don't."

And just so everyone knows... Nicole and I won the award for Best Overall Costume! Which meant I won a wonderful bone that I've been gnawing on all night long!

Woof everyone!

Yesterday Nicole and I attended our 6th puppy class! That means we get our "evaluation" in only 4 weeks! My goodness, I have a lot of work to do! Nicole says I'm very good without distractions, but I go a little bonkers when there are other puppies(dogs,cats,leaves,people,ants,everything) present. But I am just a puppy. Concentration will come with time... or so they think!

I have just one more measily week before my last set of shots. That means I'll get to go wherever I want, whenever I want! Yesss! Oops, Nicole just said "Not necessarily." She says because I'm still so young there are some places I'm not allowed to go yet because they can just be too much for a little puppy like me. But as I grow mentally, I'll be put up to the challenges... like going to a movie theatre, for instance. Mmm... popcorn, candy and spilled soda on the ground! Yummy! Oops, that's why I'm not allowed to go their yet; as Nicole says "I'm a little Hoover." Whatever that means.

A lot has gone on lately. Nicole and I have been very busy, hence the so little of updates. Sorry everyone! I know you are all on your toes waiting to see how I'm doing! ;)

Recently, I've attended one puppy class with Nicole, which was a lot of fun. Everyone said I did a very good job and the instructor used me for a lot of examples (which Nicole says is a huge compliment!) I also have 3 sets of shots under my belt now. I got #3 last Tuesday and on the 31st of July, I get my last one and then I get to go a lot more places! How exciting! At the vet last week, I weighed in at a whopping 25.8 lbs! 3 weeks prior, I weighed 19.3 lbs and 3 weeks prior to that, 13 lbs! I'm just growing like a weed!

Today I lost my first tooth. It was my bottom from right tooth. Lots of the other ones are loose, and because I chew like a mad man, I'm sure they'll all follow suit very quickly.

Very quick update:

Today, I met 2 horses and 2 donkeys who live down the street from me! How exciting! I was so happy to meet them that Nicole couldn't even believe how fast my tail was wagging!

Ayi: ice cubes are one of my favorite treats. :)

Woof everyone!

Sorry it's been so long since I've updated. So much has happened in these dog days of summer so far!

First and foremost, I kept going hurry in my kennel and Nicole was getting frustrated. She talked to her vet about my hurrying problem and they suggested to bring me in to get looked at because they thought I might have had a bladder infection. Well, it happens that they poked with a needle and collected some of my hurry. They found out I had some kind of infection (but not a bladder infection) because my white blood cell count was sky high! I was put on some medications (which I don't mind taking because they're wrapped in cheese!). I went in a week later for a check up and my white blood cell count was much lower, but high enough to be on meds for another week (yess!) I was feeling much better even after just my first night of taking the medicine! I just finished my last pill tonight and I'm all better now! :) Thanks Dr. Yost, Dr. Holmberg and Dr. Haskin at Banfield!

Last Monday, I had puppy class again. I was doing very well with my commands... but I get a little agitated when I have to sit still for so long, especially when there are a bunch of dogs I can play with instead!

So far these are the cues I've learned/am learning:
Car, Don't/No, Down, Dress, Drop, Here, Hurry, Kennel, Let's Go, Name, Roll, Sit, and Wait. Sometimes I really impress Nicole with my SKILLS! :)

This entire weekend I went on vacation! I got to spend time with a puppysitter and I had a great time playing with her dogs! She said I was a very good boy and guess what! I didn't even have one mistake in the house!

Today, Sigrid picked me up from Lori's office and I went back to play with Riddick, which is always a great time. Then Nicole picked me up and we went to this strange new place. Weirdly enough, all of the normal stuff was inside this new place, including my kitty, Moo... only the rats, Alexi the cat and Thomas were missing. Nicole told me we had "moved."

I've been having a great time so far in this new place, lots of wide open space for Nicole, Moo and me to play!

Today, we went on a huge shopping trip at Petsmart. I had to lay down in the cart... which I was NOT happy about. But I got a bone and then I was okay. Nicole bought me lots of good stuff. Lots of stuffed animals and nylabones and kong stuffing and bones and... well, as you can see, pretty amazing stuff. We also had to pick up some stuff for the cats and rats.

I'm starting to like my kennel more and more. I always get such yummy things while I'm in there. And also since I like to nap so much, it makes a nice den for me. Nicole is proud of me because I don't cry AT ALL anymore in my kennel. She better knock on wood!

I think I'll go take a cat nap.

So far Nicole says I'm doing very well with "Hurrying" (aka going to the bathroom) in the right places. She makes me go on strange surfaces. So far I've gone on rocks, cement and grass. I prefer the grass.

I've only had 3 accidents in the house so far, which isn't too bad! Nicole has a hard time telling when I am Hurrying because sometimes I'm so lazy that I just sit and go. Hehehe!

We've done a lot of walking around our complex. She makes me walk on grates and up and down stairs and praises me lots!

Yesterday and today I spent time at Sigrid's house. She is helping co-raise me with Nicole. I met the biggest dog I've ever seen! His name is Riddick and he's a great dane. He's been really nice to me. I always try to play with him, but he doesn't seem to understand that. Sometimes I go sniff his face or paw and he pulls away. I don't think he knows what I am because I'm so little compared to him!

Nicole and Sigrid make me spend a lot of time in my kennel. I really hate going in there at first and I cry and cry to try to see if they'll let me out. But they never do. I finally resort to chewing my Kong or sleeping. Did I mention I LOVE to sleep?

Nicole says I'm fearless. We've encountered some strange things and noises and Nicole always praises me for being so confident around them. When we went for a walk on Thursday morning, in the parking lot a man started up his motorcycle. I jumped because I didn't expect it, but then I sat at stared at it trying to figure out what it was. When I went out to hurry that morning, a loud dump truck went by and it didn't even phase me. Then Nicole and I sat on the porch and the maintanence men went by with a lawnmower and weed wacker and again, it didn't phase me. Today, we walked down the street and a big construction truck drove by us. I just walked right on by like it didn't even happen! Sigrid vaccuumed the house today and she tried to put me in my kennel, but didn't realize she forgot to lock one door and I escaped! I wasn't scared of that vaccuum though! No problems there!

Today, Nicole took me to an empty tennis court nearby and we ran around and played! It was a lot of fun!! Then we were both tired out. We sat down and Nicole would say my name and bring a treat to her nose, that of course I would look at and then she would say Good Boy and give me the treat. We did this a LOT of times and then she would say my name and I would look right at her and she got really excited! Then we worked on "Sit." She would lure a treat over my head and when my bum hit the ground she said Good Boy and gave me it. It was pretty easy. She says I'm a very smart boy.

Lastly before I hit the hay, Nicole received my capes and Gentle Leaders in the mail today. She put the cape on me. I wasn't very happy, but I sure did look cute!

GOLLY! WHAT A DAY!

I've had a verrrrrrry long day today. First, I am taken from my mommy and littermates, all except Francine, my sister. We are put in kennels and loaded on this huge flying car-thing... what these humans call airplanes in San Francisco. We flew for a few hours and then we stopped in a place called Houston, Texas. They moved our kennels to another plane and we flew for another couple hours! A nice lady came to pick us up from the plane and drove us to a building. At the building, there were a bunch of people waiting for us and they all took a bunch of pictures of us when we arrived... weirdos.

They took us out of our kennels, thank goodness. I was yelling and screaming for them to let me out! They took us in a tiled room and cleaned us up. I got to play with my sister and another nice puppy dog who flew along with us. She went home with her daddy today. The new people then took us outside and we both did our business, which the people hooted and hollered and told us "Good Hurry".. whatever that means. Then I left Francine to go for a car ride with my new people.

We got to my new home in the city of Denver, Colorado and I met a bunch of new people on the way in. They petted me and told me how cute I am... DUH! I went in my new place and the first thing I see is something that looked like a puppy, but a weeeird puppy. Something these humans call "cats." I tried to chase it, but my leash wouldn't let me! Darned thing! I played with the humans for a little while and then met a new human friend named Sigrid. I really liked her! I ate a little bit of dinner... actually, I scarfed it. I was reaaaally hungry!

Nicole, Sigrid and I took a short car ride to puppy class. We got there and they held me and I yelled to be let down! There were a bunch of puppies there that I wanted to play with!!! They finally let me down, but still would NOT let me play! How unfair! Nicole took me outside and I did a "Hurry" and she told me I was a good boy! Then I went and met a yellow lab puppy that was 1 year old and I got to play with her!

I went back inside and I layed down for a little while and then I got to get up and meet some other big puppies to play with! What a great time I had!

We went back home and I zonked out. I had such a long day. I took a 10 minute nap and then Nicole woke me up and made me take a bath. She told me I was a good boy... for the most part.

After my bath, I played around the house and with the cat for a while. I went out to "Hurry" and now it's time for sleep.

I'll dream about chasing cats and playing with puppies tonight. Geesh, what a life.

Woof to everyone! My name is Foley II. I am a black lab/golden retriever cross. I currently live in California with my mom, brothers and sisters. I keep overhearing something along the lines of me having to go to a "Puppy Raiser"(PR) in Denver, Colorado on Wednesday with my sister, Francine. I have no idea what my Breeder/Caretaker(BC) is talking about, so I'll just take a nap.

But before I do, here's a little about my family:

My mom's name is Ravi. She is a lab/golden cross. My litter is her fourth litter. (Every litter is named with a letter and the puppies from that litter are given a name starting with that letter. ) She has had pretty large litters in the past. 13, 9 and 10 puppies were her first 3 litters.
My dad's name is Beckett. He's a newer breeder for Canine Companions for Independence(CCI). He's a full bred black lab and every litter he has had has only produced black puppies!

It's pretty late... I need to get my beauty sleep. ::YAWN::
